What a great place to chronicle my P90X adventure. On my own blog, I wrote about how last year I grew a new lung (exaggeration) by doing the P90X home workout program. You can read it here. ANYWAY, this year rolled around. I got my usual winter-cold-that-never-goes-away, and after finally feeling better after a course of prednisone, I decided it was X time again.

Today, I officially start the second month of this grueling three month program. I have a bit of trepidation because, while the first three weeks were great, last week I caught a cold and had a fever for a couple of days, requiring an exercise moratorium (I hate those words) for three days!

But today I'm back, and as the universe unfolds in it's perfect way, I just read that Sheryl Crow is a P90X fan, too! Talk about motivation! She tells her story here.

So, as the months go by, I plan to update here. As a wellness coach, I know it works to tell people your goals. So y'all are my new accountability system. Thanks!

Good luck getting back with P90X. I have been doing it for 9 months and am still getting great results. Thanks for linking to my P90X website. It was cool hearing that Sheryl Crow does P90X so I put it on my site.

That is really cool that you are a wellness coach. You should look into being a Beachbody Coach too. This will let you help other people get in shape while forcing you to do it too.

Hi Julie,

This is great! Are we allowed to ask you questions? I'm 29.5 with CF (double delta F508 as well) and have been lifting weights for over a year now, 4x/week. While I'm definitely stronger, I look no different! Which makes me nuts! I'd like to look more muscular.

Do you have any recommendations? I don't think I'm up for this P90X thing yet.... ;)

Of Course!!! I love questions. Keep pumping iron. It is the most empowering activity I have ever done that CF can't touch! P90X is hard, but there are break in programs available, too (P90, power half hour, or even the 10 minute training...same company...same Tony Horton, but easier). Or go get the book "New Rules of Lifting for Women" by Lou Schuler. It's a great product, accurate, no fru fru, and for women who are NOT afraid to lift real weights! Good luck!

One more question - are you pancreatic sufficient? I am not, and wondered if that has something to do with the lack of results.

Hey Julie,

Was sick all the month of March, so I didn't go to the gym at all. While I was sick, I read the New Rules of Lifting for Women and will embark on this new regimen soon! Right now I'm trying to get used to going to the gym again - I can't believe how much I lost in so short a time.

Hope you're rocking the P90X.

HI...just saw this. I just got my PICC out too. Got to week 9 in P90 before I had to stop. Now I'm back to the gym and feeling sore again! Hope you are doing well.
