Great to chat on the phone yesterday with David Schneidman who is running the NYM for Team Boomer, his first marathon. David had a couple of questions for me about the race and I was happy to try and help.
As for my running, I blogged after my easy shake out run on Tuesday which removed some of the toxins built up after Sunday's 18 mile race.
Yesterday I ran the same easy loop earlier in the morning that I ran Tuesday evening. It was a relaxing 3.5 miles, feeling better than I did the night before.
In the afternoon I ran in lovely but cool low 50's on the Spring Lake boardwalk, smooth 6.5 miles roundtrip, running relaxed and then on the way back included one mile at marathon effort which felt relaxed and good.
Today, Thursday, mid to high 40's and raining with the NE wind starting to build. The run was 8.1 miles in 55 mins at about a 6.48 marathon effort clip and the whole run felt so relaxed ~ Quietly very encouraging ! Stretch, shower and on with my day !
